Hello all icon_smile.gif

I am making some maps so I can grid out the direction sectors, and my question is; should the garage of a home be included in the map if the garage itself is attached to the house? Also, when looking at apartments; generally are the outdoor balconies included in the maps?

I am worried that if I omit or include them erronously the center point and respective direction sectors will be completely wrong! icon_sad.gif

Many thanks in advance for any insight you can shed!

I agree with Kathy that if the garage is part of the building then it must be figured in to locate the center.
But for apartments with outdoor balconies, I'd rather look at the situation to decide. Some balconies seem to hang off the side of the building and are therefore outside (in my opinion) while sometimes they are sort of inside the footprint of the building and may well be part of the chart.

I'll bet there's even a difference between completely open balconies and enclosed ones.

Thanks!

My original l thinking was to include the attached garage in the map, and to omit the outside open balcony.

I guess having an attached garage is somewhat inauspicious for whatever direction it is situated!

Why do you say that?

I love mine! No dealing with packages in the pouring rain or braving winter winds to go to the car icon_biggrin.gif

Sorry, I should have said that the garage would be an impedament if situated in one of the four auspicious areas.

I am with you on the convenience bit though! icon_biggrin.gif
