URL/Website Advertising

Hi all

I have received several complaints that some members have been using the 'Private Message' function to advertise their web sites.

So here are the clearer guidelines on URLs for both on the forums and in private messenging.

It is acceptable to recommend web sites if you think that they would assist in a particular topic, or have been asked by a particular member to provide him/her with a link to the web site.

It is NOT acceptable to advertise/give public notice/announce publicly your web site on this forums and its private messenging function.

IMPORTANT

If we receive complains of this nature in the future, the offender may have his or her membership suspended or in severe cases, banned from the forums.

As this is a non-profit forums where we gather to share and learn our knowledge, please do your part in making your and other members' experience a good and pleasant one.
