Hi All --
We have found a wonderful house in a tight suburban US market but have concerns. We cannot have children (husband has unexplained fertility) but want to start a family in this house (adopt) and stay in it for about 10 years. We are healthy, secure and in a strong community of friends and family. Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated:
Wife is a Kun (2)
Husband is a Gen (8)
House is period 4 li (sits south, faces about 2 degrees north). We have no floor plan.
Center is 8 mtn star, 9 (4) - this is either in a hallway or in the corner of the living room.
Front door is right on the line between the NW (9,8, 5) and the N (4,4,9), back door is in the S.
Worst flying stars (6-2-2) are in the East, where there is a toilet. But, this is also the f-1 of the Li house. Other auspicious areas for the Li house are: N (straddles living room and bedroom, F-2) S, kitchen (f-4), and SE (straddles second bedroom and porch, f-3).
We can position a bed so that we sleep with heads facing west and put our study in the basement so that we can face west while we work.
The house is on one level and it has a stand alone garage to the right, and identical sized houses on the left and right, and directly behind. Behind to the right is a the back of a two story larger house. It is seven blocks from a hospital (15 minute walk to the perimeter of the facility, another 15 minute walk to the actual hospital itself) and situtated in a neighborhood with grid-like streets. The lot is about 3 feet above the street level, but then completely flat, the lot is rectangular and the house is in the middle of it. There are steps to the front and back entrances, there are no poison arrows, nothing blocking path to house. Everything is one level, but there is a nice basement for storage. We would use this a lot. It has one finished room and a bath in the sw, w, and nw areas.
The house is apx 900 sq feet, all on one level, and the structure is more square than rectangular, but if we added on the back someday, it would be rectangular. The front and back doors are not aligned, and the basement stairs are not directly in front of either entrance.
We love this house, and its the only stand alone house in the area that we can afford, but we are worried about the period 8 mountain star in the center and the concept of living in an East group house as West group people. Previously, we lived in an East group period 1 zhen house (zhen 1, with a 8 mountain star and 3 water star in the center) It was an excellent financial house, but an awful house for relationships/family (we found out we could not have kids while living here). In our new house, we want to focus on building and nurturing a family above all.
Also, the Li house needs to be updated in many many ways, but appears solid overall. We're okay with the updating!
Any advice you can share is *very* appreciated. Thank you for considering this inquiry. |

Hi
Sounds like a thrilling time for you!
I wouldn't put too much store in the apparent flying star arrangement. So much depends on external landforms, internal qi flow, your bazi, your husband's bazi, the relationship of the main door to the other important parts of the house, etc., etc. that simply looking at the natal chart really tells you very little.
Of course, this forum is pretty dead now for reasons I don't understand. No one is able to join for over a year due to programming glitch and site owners cannot be reached.
You need to post floor plan, perhaps Google map of larger area, D.O.B. of each of you, lots of pictures of inside of house and house surroundings for someone to begin to assist you. You can do that here, of course, but I'm afraid there aren't many of us here to look at it all. |
